郭维栋，男，1972年生，理学博士，教授，博士生导师，南京大学气候与全球变化研究院院长助理，曾是中国科学院大气物理研究所副研究员。
先后在大气科学与地球流体力学数值模拟国家重点实验室（LASG）和意大利国际理论物理中心（ICTP）进行短期访问。主要研究方向为陆面-大气相互作用以及有关北方干旱化形成机理的野外强化观测试验、数值模拟等。
人物经历
2000年获中科院寒区旱区环境与工程研究所理学博士学位。
2000-2004年分别在南京大学及中科院大气物理所开展博士后合作研究，期间分别在大气科学和地球流体力学数值模拟国家重点实验室（LASG）以及意大利国际理论物理中心（ICTP）进行合作访问。
2004—2009年受聘中科院大气物理研究所副研究员，
2009年10月受聘南京大学气象学教授。
社会任职
教育部“大气-地球系统科学”国际合作联合实验室副主任、“气候变化”江苏高校协同创新中心管理委员会副主任。iLEAPS（陆地生态系统与大气过程综合研究）中国委员会秘书长，GEWEX（国际能量与水循环试验）中国委员会副秘书长。
主要成就
科研综述
主要研究方向为气候学，侧重于陆气相互作用。近年来，在土壤温度/湿度影响区域短期气候变化，以及土地利用对地表―大气相互作用的规律和机理的影响、陆面参数敏感性试验和参数优化等领域开展了较为系统的研究。已发表相关学术论文50余篇，合作编写专著3部。
“全球变化”重大科学研究计划项目“大尺度土地利用/覆盖变化对区域气候影响的研究”（2011CB952000）项目首席科学家（2011-2015年）。先后主持国家自然科学基金四项，曾获得中国博士后科学基金以及中科院“王宽诚博士后工作奖励基金”的资助。2011年入选为江苏省“333高层次人才培养工程”中青年科学技术带头人培养对象；2012年入选教育部“新世纪优秀人才”支持计划。
教学工作
目前承担本科生专业核心课程“现代气候学基础”以及全校通识课程“气候与全球变化科学基础”的教学工作。
